From/Fukuoka Japan

Supreme works of art created by a Japanese living legend.

Hakata-based handmade Native American jewelry and silver accessory brand WING ROCK was founded by Riki Maezaki, who learned the art of jewelry making on his own in Los Angeles during the 1990s. He was given an Indian name from the Navajo tribe and is a veteran and a living legend in the Japanese silversmith industry, although limits his appearances in the media. He has somewhat of a lone wolf aura about him, but when we actually met him he greeted us with a warm smile.
“I’m not very particular about how I manufacture things, and I think fundamentally it’s about making each item accurately and with care,”
he says while laughing. What aspired him to become a silversmith was his deep friendship with the late Goro Takahashi.
“I knew of Mr. Goro from way back, and he did so much for me. However, I didn’t want to just copy him, and that has led me to where I am today.”
